The Buckingham County office of Virginia Cooperative Extension is your local connection to Virginia's land-grant universities, Virginia Tech and Virginia State University. Through educational programs based on research and developed with input from local stakeholders, we help the people of Buckingham County improve their lives. We provide education through programs in Agriculture and Natural Resources, Family and Consumer Sciences, 4-H Youth Development, and Community Viability.
Summer 4-H Programs
Join us this summer for day camps, overnight camps, and special one-day programs! 4-H summer programs provide all youth with a place to discover, learn, and grow. We believe strongly in promoting the mission of Virginia 4-H, which encourages all young people to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults.
Experienced leaders provide a well-supervised and supportive environment. We believe there is no better investment than your child attending camp! No matter which 4-H camp your child goes to, a camp is a great place to meet new friends, to try something new, and to build cherished memories that last a lifetime! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Buckingham Extension Office at (434)969-4261. See you this summer!
4-H programs are designed for youth ages 5-18. Ages are as of September 30th, 2018. Therefore, an 8-year old who turns nine on September 30th would count as a nine-year-old and be eligible for the Jr. Clover programs.
